Blue,Red Or Green?

What's your choice?
There is a reason behind this hub, but I would first like to know which of these colors you would choose.
There isn't a right or wrong answer, just be honest.
Blue, Red, Green
Out of these three colors, which would your choice be?
See results without votingNot Gangs
People are probably wondering where this hub is leading.
Nope, it's not about gangs. It could be though, after all
- Crips are Blue
- Bloods are Red
- Some Spanish gangs like the Cobras are Green
Nope, this hub isn't about those, but you could say it is about a type of gang mentality. They have been known to rob, cheat and kill.
It's politics people; politics and politicians all here in this paradise called Puerto Rico.
Let's take a look at what these colors signify. At the end, there is another poll on your color opinion after reading this.
Puerto Rico Politics
Unlike the United States, there are only three political parties here in Puerto Rico.Well, there are others, but they really have no say. Most of them have Socialist ties. All the ideas of the 3 parties are mustered into one common battle; Statehood, Commonwealth, or Independence. To choose your party here, it is much easier than the United States where you must look at multiple factors such as guns, abortion, the economy and spending, so forth and so on.
I am going to describe each party, their leader and you choose.
Blue
This stands for the New Progressive Party or in Spanish: Partido Nuevo Pro.gresista.
Their stand lies in making Puerto Rico the 51st State of the United States. There can be good and bad with that decision. Higher taxes would be bad. More representation in United States government would be good.
The leader of the New Progressive Party is Governor Luis Fortuño.
Red
The red stands for the Popular Democratic Party or in Spanish: Partido Popular Democrático.
Their stand lies in keeping Puerto Rico a commonwealth.
Of course, the good and bad is the complete opposite of the blue party.
The leader of the Popular Democratic Party is Alejandro García Padilla.
Green
Green is the color for the Puerto Rican Independence Party or in Spanish: Partido Independentista Puertorriqueño.
This group wants complete independence. Many people here are against this because they fear being another Cuba. I actually think independence could be a good thing for this beautiful island, but only with the right leadership.
The leader of the Puerto Rican Independence Party is Edwin Irrizary Mora.
- English-Independence Party
Puerto Rico has been a colony of the United States since 1898. The PR Independence Party seeks its independence by pacific means. On this web site you will find information about our struggle, news, activities, and much more.

So???
It sure seems to me that Statehood wouldn't be that great a vote for Puerto Ricans but that is just my opinion.
What is your opinion?
I am putting two more color polls here now. One is for Puerto Ricans and the other non-Puerto Ricans.
What should this island paradise do?
Please know that I have no idea who is voting in this poll, so your identity will not be known.
Blue, Red Or Green For Puerto Ricans
How will/would you vote for the upcoming Statehood, Commonwealth, Independence vote? This poll is for Puerto Ricans only.

How would you vote for the upcoming Statehood, Commonwealth, Indepence vote? This poll is for non-Puerto Ricans only.

Please pray for this beautiful country that they make the correct decision in this vote. My opinion is commonwealth would be best. Sometimes change is good, but in this case, I think not.
Puerto Rico, please don't let the idiots in Washington D.C. push you into something that will hurt you later. Keep in mind that the United States government is very deeply in debt and it will not help you to be part of that debt. Many of these politicians probably want you as a State just for your votes and your tax dollars. Keep that in mind before you vote. This vote will affect your children, grandchildren on down the line. Do what is right for them, don't just think about yourself.

Like the 4th of July...every place should have their own celebration. Independence for every place with help, communication and respect from all.
Good hub! Blesses Froggy213.
I won't say what color I voted.
I WILL say that I had to mix the blue with some yellow to get it.
I got the yellow from Dick Cheney's Vietnam "experience"(and his latest "bash-'em-all-but-me" book)
America bless God.
Great info as I know nothing about Puerto Rico, except that is beautiful. I wonder why so may Puerto Ricans come to the U.S.???

Very interesting, but my favorite color has never really affected my vote. If it did, I would be a completely different in my political standings.
