Forgiveness
by: A Christian Friend of Greg
Written in loving memory of Jonathan Boudonck and his grandpa whom struggles with his grief while searching for justice in a world that keeps moving forward when it stopped for his family the day his grandson died. May we all remember that someday we could stand in his shoes.
So the wicked walk
Upon the beauty of our lives
Hiding twisted faces
And bearing sharpened knives
They slice through our beliefs
And cause our hearts to bleed
Leaving mass destruction
Upon our humanity
When the battle has been fought
Who is left to stand
The wicked walking terror
Or the bleeding broken man
Soulless from the start
They had nothing left to lose
For the man who had his faith
There was far more to choose
A choice of redemption
Not for the soulless beast
But for his own soul
Before he was deceased
Searching for the answer
To a most horrendous choice
Will bring him to a painful point
And make him find his voice
He will have to shout the pain
Speak of the loss and violence
Seek the endless darkness
Until it finally ends
No one will ever understand
The tragedy of this fight
It isn’t about the man
It’s about what is right
The evil it is winning
By leaps and by bounds
Because a man fights with his faith
When forgiveness can’t be found
It weakens his resolve
To rise above himself
To be the best God has to offer
When in his deepest crap
And when man rises up
From his fiery depths
God will hold him like a child
Until he has finally wept
Tears will wash away the darkness
And will help to cleanse his soul
So that he might free his spirit
And once again be whole
He then will stand up tall and proud
He will seek what should be his
Justice for the wrong done him
For all that he will miss
He did not need to seek
Vengeance or revenge
Those are empty promises
For hearts that cannot mend
He found that in his darkness hour
When forgiveness was to much
That the wicked walking terrors
Did not have them in their clutch
Faith had won out over loss
Love had beat the hate
Finally man remembered God
Gave him choice in his own fate

Ribbit, my froggy friend...
I feel the softening of your heart as you put forth these words. I know that you may not have written them yourself, nonetheless, it is you. I know it.
Thank you, for your discipleship of our Master; as you prove the power of His redeeming love; in the ways you lift others - as He is lifting YOU.
A wonderful testimony.
Thank you so very much for allowing us to share this with you.
In my thoughts much.
