Is Terror Winning?
56
Just recently in a speech given in Iowa by a Presidential candidate for 2012, Michele Bachmann claimed Hezbollah could be planning missile sites in Cuba. I began to wonder if terror is winning. It's been years since the United States and its allies have been "fighting" terrorism and it really seems they have got no where. When a terrorist organization is planning to set up 90 miles from the United States border, how can they say they are "winning"?
What is terrorism anyway. This is the definition I found:
1.the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes.2.the state of fear and submission produced by terrorism or terrorization.
3.a terroristic method of governing or of resisting a government.
Well now, that defines Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, Benjamin Franklin and other patriots that made the United States a country. Hmmmm.
Has the United States stepped into a fight it will never win? Sure is looking that way. Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending these people that hijack planes or fire homemade weapons at people, but I also have a hard time backing many of the leaders from the U.S. too. Too many things look odd.Let's look at something I found which makes me think it is a butt-kissing game leaders are playing.
Is Terror Winning?

The list is very small now. I don't get it; there used to be a long list that countries that backed terrorism and now there are only four:
- Cuba
- Iran
- Sudan
- Syria
What happened with places like Libya, Yemen, and North Korea? I guess someone kissed someone's butt.
Let's look at something else I found:

Safe Havens
Only four countries are cited as being sponsors of terrorism but here is the list of safe havens for terrorists:
- The Trans-Sahara Region
- Algeria
- Mali
- Mauritania
- Niger
- Colombia Border Region
- Brazil
- Ecuador
- Panama
- Peru
- Venezuela
- Tri-Border Area
- Argentina
- Brazil
- Paraguay
- Yemen
- Somalia
- Pakistan
- Indonesia
- Malaysia
- The Philippines
- Afghanistan
- Iraq
- Lebanon
So what gives? Seems like many places are harboring terrorists but only four listed by the government. Could it be that if they were on the list, it would hurt income of some of our politicians?
The United States and some of their allies are really starting to look foolish in my opinion. We don't know who is a terrorist anymore. Be careful what you say or think, because you may be considered one. I may be considered one after writing this hub for that matter.
What Next?
I believe a lot will depend on this next election. We need someone who won't kiss butt. We need a "normal Joe or Jane", but is there one?
Let these other countries vie for their own forms of government and quit trying to be the police of the world.
Just my opinion, so if you want; write down in that blank spot where it says write-in candidate-Froggy213 for President or my real name: Greg L. Boudonck. Someone needs to step up and turn it around. The United States needs to become what our forefathers planned, not what Hitler wanted!
I pray Father God that you will open the eyes of mankind. Have them see that war and killing is not of or from you. Let all men bow and worship you. May love reign! In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

OK Froggy you got my vote, Thanks for the good hub
I would vote for you. Hell I voted for myself once, I wanted to be able to brag I got a vote for President, even if it was mine
I don't know if you know this. But there is no such thing as a "terrorist" organization. Terrorism isn't a movement. It isn't an ideology. It's a means to an end. It's an action. There's no group that goes around thinking "Hey, I'm gonna do this because I'm a terrorist." They use terrorism to get what they want. Either to repel foreign interests, or to make a political statement.

Sorry Froggy, but for many decades now, the only way one can even get close to that inaugural Bible is to agree in advance to play by the new rules firmly established on the day our own country put a new part in JFK's hair
...November 22, 1963 was the date that the silent coup took over our government as we (thought) we knew it, IMO...sending a clarion call to all those to follow, that the new power-brokers called all the shots and, subsequently, any hope for real "change" would be relegated to the scrap heap of despair. Maranatha!
Since then, the true terrorists have not been living in caves; they are housed in Washington, DC...and, much like our founding fathers' refusal to follow silly platitudes like "England: Love It or Leave It", true patriots still have the gonads to question, to speak out, to blog. Thank you...
