My Poem of Faith
60
My heart bleeds,
to hold you close.
To whisper the words
that bring a gleam
to your eyes.
As darkness closes in,
the turmoil
descends its grip
on my very being.
I wrestle with
existence.
A search is set;
a reason or
a means to an end
is answered
in these chapters.
Alas, my search seems futile.
but there is a promise.
A vow written
long ago.
It tells me not to worry,
not to fret or scowl;
to put faith in
an unseen God
and a Son who
walked many a mile.
In Angels on guard
for our very souls;
and demons
who will starve
and spoil.
Many a man
will scoff and say,
how can you believe
this tale?
It is very simple
I tell the man;
You see, I have
seen the path to Hell.
There were stop signs
and detours.
There were roadblocks
and red lights.
I ran every
one of them
until darkness
created mayhem
A hand reached out
and grabbed me then
He pulled me
from my ruins,
and showed me a
better way.
A way to the Kingdom.
I will never deny Him
He is truly
my Savior.
My path is chosen
Like threads all woven.
All Glory to the Father
and to His Son I bow
and praise to the Holy Spirit
who guides my footsteps now.

Nice Blog Froggy...just shared it on Facebook.
"All Glory to the Father

and praise to the Holy Spirit

Awesome poem!!
A beautiful poem. God is moving hearts with the words you have touched. Awesome.
A beautiful debut.
With every breathe he cries Hallelujah.....it may be a broken Hallelujah but Hallelujah anyway!!!!
Under thy wings shall we take refuge oh Lord!
Beautiful words Froggy,
Take care,
Eiddwen.
