To sell or not to sell-Winning on E-bay

I am making this hub for those of you who would like some ideas for selling on Ebay.

I auction items regularly,it has become my own little garage sale.I have been a miser for years;I keep everything.I have learned,one man's junk is another man's treasure.

The biggest key to auctioning on Ebay is to set your shipping and handling right.I make sure at all times that it will NOT cost me more to ship than what I am getting.Below you will see some of my auctions.I don't have an Ebay store because I work full time and don't have the time to keep up with it.

I find for myself,I search auctions,fleamarkets,antique stores,garage sales,etc for good coin and ballcard deals.I also have bought unopened boxes of ballcard.One autograph in the box will usually pay for the whole box.

Coins are usually a great investment,there are many coins that I may have paid say,10$ for one year ago and sell for 30-40$ now.

I have sold mason jars,old pictures,oddities--you can sell darn near anything.

You must look at the best deals on your auction--of course it is cheapest

{listing costs}to start the bidding at .99,but if you wouldnt make your money back if it sells at .99 than that wouldn't be too smart.Next best deal is $9.99.

Ebay also offers a lot of listing specials and I take advantage of them.This last one was .10 listing fees one day only.A great way to list your more expensive items.

This ,I feel,is the most important!!Pictures;they need to be outstanding and always have a gallery picture--offset the cost in shipping and handling costs.

I find with flat items you can get the best detail by scanning them instead of using your camera.I also use a photo editing program to sharpen the pictures and crop them.I use Picassa ; the link is here if you would like to try it.

That is about all I have--It is all really pretty simple--just use common sense--oh and I use paypal too--makes it much easier for people to pay--for those who want to,they can pay by check or money order.I ALWAYS make sure the check clears before I ship.
